'That Mellow Saxophone' is the umbrella name under which a variety of street band style music acts fall.

Formerly called 'Swervy World', that name became synonymous with a traditional jazz quintet known for its theatrical stage shows. So the decision was to leave it that way and come up with a new name for all the other breakaway groups that have developed for the core members since Swervy World first hit the streets in 1996.

It was decided the umbrella name should be 'That Mellow Saxophone' in recognition of the work of Stephane Spitz, now the group's only remaining full time member and the driving force behind thirty plus years of producing acoustic, off stage, outdoor, street music for community settings.

Each act/band has been allocated a page on the menu and each page offers a description, plus photographs and demonstration videos.
